Hello, fabulous community!

As many of you know, I’ve been dedicated to establishing a community center for Rogue Trans, and guess what? I did it! I signed the lease earlier this week and officially hold the keys as of yesterday. If you’re connected to my personal page, you might have caught some sneak peeks of our journey through my videos.

Now, let’s talk about our first steps. I’m working diligently to get our programs up and running, with the inaugural project being the reopening of The Closet. I’m aiming to have all the clothing and essentials moved from TMAC to our new space this weekend, with plans for our first Free Closet to open next Saturday, March 7th.

But wait, there’s more! We’re throwing an open house for our entire 2SLGBTQIA+ community on March 14th. Our friends from the Pride in Numbers independent research study will join us, hosting a storytelling session at the new center from noon to 2 PM. We’ll have The Closet open, along with food and refreshing non-alcoholic drinks. It’s a wonderful opportunity for you to share your personal story, if you’d like. And, if you haven’t had a chance to take the survey yet, no worries—I’ll have computers available on-site just for you!

By mid to late April, I’m excited to roll out a regular schedule and hours, using all your valuable input from the survey I posted earlier. I can’t express how excited I am about this endeavor—it’s about time we had our own space to truly belong!
